From the carefree bingeing in my twenties to the love/hate relationship in my 30s and 40s, when even a single drink could trigger a three-day hangover. I've been through it all—the fun nights out and the tough mornings after, but also the pressure of being the odd one out with a sparkling water at parties.
For years, I focused mainly on the immediate effects of a boozy night. I was so occupied with avoiding hangovers or that puffy look the next day that I almost missed something MUCH more important. What I discovered changed my entire perspective on alcohol and health, especially as I navigate menopause.
